Income proof, ready on time
Bank Statement And Payslip Translation Singapore
Numbers must never change in translation. Bank statement and payslip translation in Singapore is about exactly that: every figure, date and account line copied into English, in the original currency, for ICA, MOM, schools or banks.
Most income files are ready in 1–2 working days. If an office also wants a notary stamp or a certified true copy of your bank statement, we book that alongside.

Bank Statement Translation Requirements For Passes And Schools
ICA, schools and embassies ask for income proof to see that you or your sponsor can support a stay. If those papers are not in English, a certified salary slip translation becomes one more dated task, so start early.
Who asks? ICA may want a sponsor's payslips with a Long-Term Visit Pass translation file. Schools may ask parents for bank statements. Embassies and employers ask too. Each office has its own list and time window, so read it before you order.
Here is a calm way to plan. Ask the office how many months it needs. Translate only those months. Then add one spare day for the notary, so a small delay never turns into a missed deadline.
Your Income Papers Pack
- English copy with every figure checked
- Original currency kept, never converted
- Ready date confirmed before you pay
- Notarised PDF when the office asks
- Hard copy by courier if needed
Salary Slip Translation For Pass Sponsors, Loans And Family Court Cases
Proof of money is checked by more offices than most people expect. A salary slip translation or bank record in English helps ICA, banks, landlords and courts see your income without guessing at foreign words.
-
Long-Term Visit Pass Sponsor
ICA may look at a sponsor's income when a parent or spouse applies for an LTVP. Foreign payslips need an English version for that check.
-
Singapore PR Application
PR applicants show their earnings to ICA. If part of your income is paid by an overseas employer, those slips and statements need translating.
-
Student's Pass Financial Proof
Some Student's Pass applicants must show that a parent can pay fees and living costs. Bank statements from home banks are often requested in English.
-
Home Loans And Credit Cards
Singapore banks ask for proof of foreign income before approving a mortgage, car loan or card limit. Each bank decides which months it wants.
-
Renting A Flat Or Condo
Agents and landlords sometimes ask new arrivals for recent payslips or a job letter. An English copy makes a foreign salary clear at once.
-
Family Court Maintenance
In divorce or maintenance cases, each side lists its means. Overseas bank records and tax notices must be in English before lawyers can file them.
-
Overseas Visa Applications
Embassies in Singapore often ask for bank balances with a visa form. If your account sits in your home country, its statement may need English.
-
Employment Pass Salary Checks
Employers and MOM officers sometimes ask for English payslips or tax papers to confirm past pay when a work pass application is reviewed.
Income Papers Our Financial Translation Services Cover
Proof of income comes in many shapes. A payslip from Bangkok looks nothing like a tax notice from Tokyo. Our income proof translation covers these six most often, with tips for each one.
Monthly Bank Statements
Statements list every payment with a date, a short note and a balance. We keep the rows in the same order, so an officer can match each line with the original.
Payslips From Employers
A payslip shows gross pay, deductions and net pay. Words differ by country, such as Slip Gaji or 給与明細書. Each one becomes plain English, with every number left untouched.
Thai Salary Records
Thai slips use the Buddhist year, so 2567 means 2024. We show the year as printed and add the Western year in brackets. Our Thai to English translation team checks these dates closely.
Vietnamese Sao Kê Statements
A Vietnamese sao kê tài khoản is an account statement. Amounts use dots for thousands, like 1.500.000 VND. Our Vietnamese to English translation keeps that format so no zero goes missing.
Tax Returns And Notices
Tax papers prove income over a full year. Japanese 源泉徴収票 and Chinese tax records are common. Need a professional Japanese translation service for financial documents? We cover that too.
Income And Employment Letters
An employer letter or 收入证明 (income certificate) states your job and salary. These are short, so many can be done the same day with express service.

Bank Statement Details That Trip Up Singapore Applications
Small details on income papers cause the biggest delays. A swapped date or a lost zero can send your file back. This table shows the tricky parts of a bank statement translation and how we handle them.
| On The Document | What It Means | How We Translate It |
|---|---|---|
| Dates like 03/04/2024 | Could be 3 April or 4 March | Month written in words, so the date is clear |
| RMB, THB or VND amounts | The original currency | Kept as printed, never changed to Singapore dollars |
| Bank short codes | The bank's own payment labels | Common terms translated; unknown codes kept as they are |
| Gross pay / net pay lines | Pay before and after deductions | Labelled clearly, so totals match the original |
| Bank stamp or chop | Proof the bank issued the page | Stamp words translated; seal shown as [seal] |
| Account holder name | Whose account it is | Spelled exactly as printed, checked against your passport |
If any part cannot be read, we mark it as illegible instead of guessing.

Notarise Your Income Document Translation If Needed
ICA often wants notarised payslips or tax papers in a PR or LTVP sponsor file. MOM and most banks usually take a plain certified translation. We arrange the notary and the SAL authentication each notarised paper has needed since 2019, from S$162.20 per document.
Income Document Translation Price In Singapore
Translation of bank and tax records starts from S$30 per page. That is a starting price only. Long statements, notary needs and tight deadlines change the total, and we always send a fixed quote before you pay.
What decides your final price
Number Of Months
Six months of statements can mean twenty pages. Ask the office the exact period, so you pay for what is needed.

Busy accounts can fill a page with tiny rows. Very dense pages take longer, and we say so in the quote.
Notary Stamp
When ICA or another office asks for it, notarisation with SAL authentication is added from S$162.20 per document.
Bank Statement Certified True Copy
Some offices want a certified true copy of the bank statement itself. With the notary and SAL steps, this is from S$172.20 per document.
Same-Day Express
Need it today? Express adds 50% and works best for short payslips and single-page letters.
Courier Or Overseas Use
Courier starts from S$15. For papers going abroad, the SAL step in a notarised translation can add an apostille certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions
01My bank statement is 40 pages. Do I have to translate all of it?
Not always. Many offices only want recent months, so ask them the exact period first. If they need the full statement, we quote every page before we start.
02Will you change the amounts into Singapore dollars?
No. A translation must match the original, so the currency stays as printed. If an office needs a converted figure, it will usually work that out itself or ask you.
03Is it safe to send my account number?
Your files are handled under Singapore's PDPA, and only the people working on your order see them. If the office allows it, you may cover part of the account number before sending.
04My payslips mix Chinese and English. Do you translate both parts?
We translate the Chinese parts and leave the English lines as they are. Our Mandarin translation team also handles English to Chinese for financial papers going to China or Taiwan.
05The office wants a sworn statement from the translator. Can you do that?
Yes. Some offices, often overseas, want the translator to swear that the translation is true. Our sworn translation services team signs that statement in front of a notary public. Tell us early, because it adds a step.
06My visa appointment is in two days. Is that enough time?
Often, yes. Most income files are ready in 1–2 working days, and many single-page papers can be done the same day with express, which adds 50%. Send everything in the morning and tell us the date, so we can say honestly if it fits.
07Do I need SAL authentication for papers used in Singapore?
Only if the translation is notarised. Any paper a Singapore notary signs has needed SAL authentication since 2019, and our notary price includes it. Many offices here accept a plain translation, so check their list first.
08My bank statement was downloaded online, not stamped by the bank. Can you still translate it?
Yes, we can translate an e-statement. Whether the office accepts it is their choice, as some want a bank-stamped printout. Ask them first, so you do not have to translate twice.
09Can I translate my own bank statement for a visa or pass application?
It is not a good idea for official use. ICA accepts a translation by the embassy of the issuing country, by a notary public, or a private translation notarised by a notary public. Other offices rarely accept a translation made by the account holder.
10Does ICA need my sponsor's payslip translation to be notarised?
For ICA, a private translation should be notarised by a notary public or attested by the embassy. We arrange the notary step, including SAL authentication, from S$162.20 per document. ICA endorses no private translation company, and the decision stays with ICA.
11How do I get a certified true copy of a bank statement in Singapore?
Bring the original printed statement, and a notary public checks the copy against it and stamps it. With SAL authentication, certified true copies start from S$172.20 per document. If the statement is not in English, the translation can be done in the same order.
